I’m super excited for this one! Last week Cody finished building me a hugelkultur garden bed in the yard closer to the yurt. I’m really hoping this means I’ll be able to get some more gardening done this summer! Should make for easier watering and daily harvests since I won’t have to go so far, especially when I need to bring the kiddos with me.

I was considering writing a post on hugelkultur to go with the video, but honestly there’s already a ton of resources out there on the subject, and I’m just not in the mood to try to figure out how to avoid plagiarism today. So instead, if you want to learn more about why we built our new garden bed this way, I suggest you check out this article on building a hugelkultur raised bed. It’s very informative and addresses some of the problems that people tend to have with them.
