Broccoli

Feb 1- Planted one square foot with four spots of Gemini F1 (2023 Territorial Seed). And one milk jug with four seeds for winter sowing.

Feb 9- planted two milk jugs with Gemini for winter sowing.

Mar 13- Three of the four have sprouted.

Apr 1- Planted five Gemini F1 in the gaps of the sprouted radishes.

Apr 11- Planted 8 starts from winter sowing (started Feb 1 and Feb 9). The winter sowed plants seemed to be stretched and wouldn’t stand up on their own, but they considerably larger than the direct sowed seedlings.

May 5- Sowed 4 Aspabroc in 1sq’ in kitchen garden.

May 9- Sowed a 12 cell tray of Aspabroc.

May 19- Only three from the 12 cell tray sprouted, and none of the kitchen garden seeds sprouted (I think I let it dry out too much…) I replanted the rest of the tray and the garden spots.

May 27- All of the winter sown starts got eaten by slugs… but the direct sown that was started Feb 1 are mostly happy.
