Leekton: the modernized version of the old English word Leac-tun, which refers to “homestead where leeks are grown”. Leac-tun is the base from where the last name “Leaton” originates.

Welcome! I’m Cody Leaton, and this page will be serving as my online gardening journal.

I’ve heard from multiple people that you should keep a gardening journal for tracking what does well, what doesn’t do well, planting times, harvest info, etc. I started a paper version a couple years ago, but I have struggled to keep up with it and I’m never near it when I need the information.

However, I almost always have my phone, photos are much better than my sketches, and internet doesn’t have a limited number of pages… so it made sense for me to write it all here! This is mostly for my reference, but my hope is that you’ll also find some information that you can use.
